This oil painting was made in 2024. It explores still life and repetitive methods for driving an artistic series. I was thinking a lot about iteration - i painted from life - rotating a folded paper object to get multiple perspectives of the central striped form . I like the way the thickly painted parts contrast with the transparent layers beneath to create depth.
